The Special Collections on the University of Kansas are located in the Kenneth Spencer Research Library.

The collections hold about 250,000 volumes and 500,000 manuscripts. Highlights include medieval manuscripts, architecture, economic history, eighteenth-century collections of England and France, history of American education, history of science, Irish collections, Latin America, nineteenth and twentieth-Century literature, science fiction, and voyages/atlases/maps.
