Class Project: The Book 1450 to the Present
As a part of my studies at Indiana University in the pursuit of a Master of Library Science degree, I wanted to create a visually project for public display. The easiest mode for many people to see a project is digitally. For the ILS-Z681 class The Book 1450 to the Present taken in the spring of 2015, I got the chance to create something! I decided on a map…
Along with Jesse Whitton, I compiled a list of rare book and special collections repositories around the United States of America. Using the online application Mapbox, I easily placed those repositories on a map for your viewing pleasure. The map is located here.
On this website, I will add blog posts dedicated to the different libraries. These posts contain descriptions of the collections, hours of operation, phone numbers, website addresses, and physical addresses. I might even add pictures!
